Our Story

Undoubtedly, for countries all around the world, leading to energy security and self• sufficiency as well as economic growth and geo-political advantages, petroleum refinery is one of the most substantial industries. Hence, identifying and anticipating factors jeopardizing the industry's sustainability is essential to satisfy the demand for enough energy safely and sustainably. Accidental fire, Explosions, and leaks of chemicals and gases are common in refineries, which can lead to the production of excessive pollution and consequently endangering the living creatures to health issues. Animal existence in refining plants and their surrounding environment is a challenging issue that can result in irreparable damage. The absence of a system detecting animals near these places, considering the excessive pollutions, can lead to animal health problems. Also, equipment damages caused by animals near these places is another problem. To achieve access to a high level of security and reduce these risks, the amount of pollution should be measured, and all the facilities should be monitored.

Our Story

Considering the vast extent occupied by refinery facilities, and an immensity at-risk region near the place, access to the data gathered by controlling the whole environment is time-consuming and expensive. Artificial intelligence technique is one of the most promising ways which can be utilized in situations like this. Here at SamRad, by using machine learning methods, an intelligent platform has been designed to control the aggregate data gathered by the monitoring. Our technology provides an automated tracking and decision-making system which aims to not only reduce the facility damages caused by animals but also survive the animals exposed to the risk of excessive pollution or explosive situations by predicting the danger and the sending messages to the warning systems in order to make the animals far off. All the innovative methods and plans designed, are registered in The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) as our patent. By capturing still and moving images and processing these images, a 24-hour system will be provided for permanent monitoring and decision-making. Our technology is an efficient way of providing a secure environment in refinery systems. By this smart system, through machine vision and machine learning techniques, the Animal species will be identified first, and the dangerous situation will be detected. Then the best decision will be made to prevent the damages that may be caused.
